How to Connect to Your FiveM Database with HeidiSQL | EUGameHost

Use HeidiSQL to connect to your FiveM database, import .sql files, and manage player data.

This is useful for:

  • importing script databases

  • editing player money

  • changing job ranks

  • fixing inventories

  • installing new resources

Difficulty: Intermediate
Time Required: 6 Minutes

Step 1: Install HeidiSQL

Download and install HeidiSQL on your computer.

Once installed, open the application.

Step 2: Create a New Connection

Click:

New

Create a new session.

Use the following settings:

Network Type: MariaDB or MySQL (TCP/IP)
Hostname / IP: Your database host
Port: 3306
Username: Your database username
Password: Your database password

You can find these details in your EUGameHost Game Panel under:

Databases

Step 3: Connect to the Database

Click:

Open

HeidiSQL will connect and show your database on the left side.

Click your database name to expand the tables.

Step 4: Import a Script SQL File

Many FiveM resources include an .sql file.

Example:

esx_vehicleshop.sql

To import it:

Go to:

File > Run SQL file...

Select the .sql file included with your script.

Then click:

Execute

or press:

F9

This will create the required tables automatically.

Step 5: Refresh the Database

After importing, right-click your database and click:

Refresh

The new tables should now appear.

Example tables may include:

users
owned_vehicles
jobs
items

Editing Player Data

You can also manually edit tables.

Common examples:

  • users → money, jobs, rank

  • owned_vehicles → vehicle ownership

  • player_inventory → items

Always be careful when editing live data.

Important: Create a Backup First

Before importing or editing data, create a backup.

This prevents accidental data loss.
