How To Fix Rust Not Installing On Pterodactyl
Have you just installed the Pterodactyl control panel on your EUGH VPS, VDS or dedicated server, gone to install Rust and found it hanging on installing Umod?
Here is why and how to fix it...
The Cause Of The Issue?
Simply github rejects the connection if its from a direct IP with no source SSL certificate, Reinstalling Pterodactyl and running it on a domain and having my machines on FQDN this has resolved this issue.
The Fix?
All you need to do is reinstall the entire panel and wings and install it using a domain and a SSL certificate, this will ensure github accepts the connection and will resolve your issue of Rust freezing up on Umod install.
